Why Is Traditional SEO No Longer Enough?

Traditional SEO alone is no longer enough because a meaningful share of searches now get answered directly, inside an AI Overview or a ChatGPT response, without the user ever clicking through to a website at all.

A page that ranks well but never gets cited inside those AI answers is now missing an entire layer of visibility that did not exist a few years ago.

The fix is not abandoning traditional SEO, it is adding a second target on top of it, writing and structuring content so it also gets pulled directly into AI generated answers.
